Daedalus was founded by a few close friends looking to provide top quality design services to clients within each of their areas of expertise. This quickly began to branch out into other areas, and ultimately leading to the onboarding of additional team members to aid in catering to other disciplines of design.
Daedalus operates as a team of remote design experts. We are always looking to onboard highly skilled individuals from a range of design disciplines. Whether you are actively seeking your next role, or just seeing what’s out there, we’d love to chat.
Our team currently operates within a few key disciplines:
- Commercial and Industrial Construction Segments. Utilizing the Autodesk AEC program suite to provide drafting and review services for structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, etc.
- Consumer Product Designs – leveraging the SolidWorks design software systems to provide full product design lifecycle support.
- Industrial Equipment Design and R&D Services to a Variety of Manufacturing Processes
- Manufacturing process layout and review
- 3D Laser Site Scanning for creation of 3D models within Recap and Revit
- Automotive/ATV/Watersports upfitting

Revit Drafter – MEP and Building Envelope
Position Title: Revit Drafter – Building Envelope & MEP Systems
Location: Fully Remote (U.S. based applicants only)
About Us: Daedalus Contrivance LLC specializes in cutting-edge project and product design services. We leverage a team of design and trade discipline experts to deliver exceptional solutions across various sectors.
Role Summary: We are seeking an experienced Revit drafter with specialized knowledge in building envelope and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems. This role will work with projects in both commercial and industrial sectors. Experience in both is preferred, but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed drawings and models using Revit for building envelope and MEP systems.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure design accuracy and feasibility.
- Conduct site visits for measurements and data collection as required.
- Manage and maintain project documentation and drawing files.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in Revit drafting, specifically in building envelope and MEP systems.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and industry standards.
- Ability to travel to job sites for measurements and data collection.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.

Mechanical Designer – SolidWorks/Inventor
Position Title: Mechanical Designer (SolidWorks/Inventor)

Role Summary: We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Designer proficient in SolidWorks or Inventor, with a strong background in designing mechanical equipment and expertise in sheet metal fabrications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical equipment using SolidWorks or Inventor.
- Create detailed models and drawings for sheet metal fabrications.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure design specifications and standards are met.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical support.
Requirements:
